September Security Updates for Older Mac OS’

Apple also released an update (again check software update on the Mac>Apple Menu) for Security Fixes to the older (10.5.x) Apple systems.

As with the other Apple Updates, this is highly recommended AND if you are running anything older than 10.6.1, you should be running your software update while reading this post…

Security Update 2009-005 is recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X. Previous security updates have been incorporated into this security update.

This update (since it also rolls in a number of “security updates” is closer to 100 MB and I would suggest allowing Apple’s Software Update to run it’s magic and pick the right update for you system.  A reboot is required so, finish up, save anything you are working on, download and update – you’ll be happy you did…
