Update your music purchases

Apple announced yesterday that iTunes would have all songs would be DRM-free by spring of this year.

I discovered that if you open iTunes, on the right side, there is a “Upgrade my library” link with the number of songs you purchased. If you click on the link, Apple is providing a “special” to update the WHOLE library for a discounted price ($0.30/song). This will move all songs to the full iTunes Plus DRM-Free (256kb) file.

I also found that there is a “Complete my album” option on the right side which will show all songs that have been purchased and the whole album at a discounted rate too. I have a couple of songs from Sara McLachlan, I can complete the whole album for about $6 (with iTunes Plus songs).

Tempting!
