Apple today introduced a 2GB shuffle

iPod shuffle now priced at $49, new 2GB model at $69 | MacMinute News: “”

Apple is slowly moving to larger capacity systems and lower costs with the availability and expense of the memory chips dropping steadily.

A few years ago a 1GB memory stick cost $100+ dollars and one with a music player (like my 1 generation shuffle) it was a no brainer. I loved running with a shuffle. Then the new model came out which I “won” one and switched to that quickly.

I still use it on occasion since it is SO compact. If you’re looking for a low-cost MP3 player – give it a go!
