Bereft of BlackBerrys, the Untethered Make Do – New York Times

Bereft of BlackBerrys, the Untethered Make Do – New York Times: “”

Blackberry users felt what is was like a couple of years ago last night (Wednesday 4/18/07 @ 8p EST email service went down in the US for about 10 hours). The NYTimes article is a humorous and stark look at the technology that people have come to rely on so heavily.

Personally, the cost of the service and equipment – i do not have my own blackberry, but knowing a little about myself, i would have been as panicked as the next guy. with the weather the last couple of days i have had a couple of times when the home cable internet flaked out a bit. weird how much we rely on these technologies these days…

anyway, research in motion has resolved the issue and looking at how to keep it from happening again. for all you “crackberry” addicts out there – keep the faith…
