whenever i get around to buying something online i generally am in such a hurry that i go to a “known” site (amazon, best buy, etc.) and do a quick scan of “best price” and then place the order – i’m known in these parts as “instant gratification boy”.
one reason i do not spend more time looking for specials or sales/coupons is the process of sorting through a google list of possible cupons (not expired, do no apply etc.). if you are like me, bookmark coupon chief.
similar to dealnews this is a way to quickly figure out if there is a way to save a couple of bucks (maybe free shipping or free gift card) before pressing submit. in this day and age, there is plenty of competition as well as resources to make sure you buy a product at a good price from a reputable retailer.
